Question 1

What is actually included in a done-for-you automation setup?

Accepted Answer

A done-for-you automation setup typically includes workflow mapping, tool selection, integration between your existing platforms, and full build-out of the automations so you never have to touch the technical side. At What Works Academy, this also includes testing, troubleshooting, and a handoff session so you understand what's running in your business. You are not handed a template or a course - you get a finished, working system built around your specific processes.

Question 2

Is a done-for-you automation setup worth the cost compared to doing it yourself?

Accepted Answer

For most business owners, yes - the time saved in the first month alone usually exceeds the cost of the setup. DIY automation sounds cheap until you factor in the learning curve, the failed attempts, and the weeks spent watching tutorials instead of serving clients. What Works Academy builds the system for you so the payoff starts immediately, not after a six-week trial-and-error period.

Question 3

How long does a done-for-you automation setup take to complete?

Accepted Answer

Most done-for-you setups are completed within one to two weeks depending on the complexity of your workflows and how many tools need to be connected. What Works Academy prioritizes fast turnaround because a system sitting half-built is not saving you any time. The goal is a fully functional setup that is live and running inside your business as quickly as possible.

Question 4

What kinds of tasks can actually be automated in a done-for-you setup?

Accepted Answer

The most impactful automations cover lead follow-up, client onboarding, appointment reminders, invoice delivery, internal notifications, and repetitive admin tasks that eat hours every week. What Works Academy focuses on the workflows that are costing you the most time or causing the most dropped balls in your business. These are not flashy automations for show - they are practical systems that handle real daily friction.

Question 5

Who is a done-for-you automation setup actually built for?

Accepted Answer

It is built for business owners who are already busy and do not have the bandwidth to learn a new tool, watch hours of tutorials, or hire a full-time operations person. What Works Academy works best with coaches, consultants, service providers, and small teams who know their business is leaving time and money on the table but cannot figure out how to fix it themselves. If you have a process that you do manually and repeatedly, you are the right fit.

Question 6

How is a done-for-you automation setup different from buying an automation course?

Accepted Answer

A course teaches you how to build automations - a done-for-you setup builds them for you. With What Works Academy, you are not assigned homework or left to implement anything yourself. The difference is the same as learning to cook versus hiring a personal chef: one transfers knowledge and the other delivers results.

Question 7

What tools or platforms does a done-for-you automation setup usually work with?

Accepted Answer

Most setups work across the tools you are already using - platforms like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Zapier, Make, GoHighLevel, Google Workspace, Notion, and dozens of others. What Works Academy designs the automation around your existing stack rather than forcing you to switch platforms or buy new software. The right tool is the one that fits your business, not the one that is most popular.

Question 8

How do I know if my business processes are ready to be automated?

Accepted Answer

If you can describe a task by saying 'every time X happens, I do Y,' that task is ready to be automated. You do not need perfectly documented processes or a polished tech stack before getting started. What Works Academy handles the discovery process and will tell you honestly which workflows are worth automating and which ones are not ready yet.

Question 9

How much does it typically cost to hire someone to set up your CRM and automations?

Accepted Answer

Professional CRM setup and automation services generally range from $500 to $5,000 or more depending on the complexity of your workflows, the platform being configured, and whether the provider is a freelancer or an agency. Basic setups with a few automations sit toward the lower end, while multi-pipeline builds with advanced segmentation and integrations push toward the higher range. What Works Academy offers structured programs that teach you how to do this yourself or help you implement it correctly the first time, so you are not paying recurring fees every time something needs updating.

Question 10

What does a done-for-you CRM setup actually include?

Accepted Answer

A proper done-for-you CRM setup includes migrating or importing your contacts, building out your pipeline stages, configuring automation workflows like follow-up sequences and lead nurturing, and integrating your CRM with tools like your email platform, calendar, or website forms. Some providers also include tagging and segmentation logic so leads are sorted automatically. What Works Academy covers all of these components inside its implementation programs so nothing gets left half-finished.

Question 11

Why is setting up CRM automations so expensive when you hire someone?

Accepted Answer

CRM configuration requires strategic thinking, not just technical clicking - a professional needs to map your sales process, anticipate edge cases in your workflows, and test everything before it goes live. That expertise takes real time, often 10 to 30 hours for a thorough build. The cost reflects that a bad automation setup can actually lose you leads, so cutting corners here is genuinely risky.

Question 12

Is it worth paying someone to set up your CRM or should you learn to do it yourself?

Accepted Answer

If you have a straightforward business model and time to learn, doing it yourself is absolutely worth it because you will understand how to maintain and tweak the system as your business grows. Paying someone makes sense when your time has a high dollar value or when you have already tried and gotten stuck. What Works Academy sits in the middle ground - teaching you how to build and own your system so you are never dependent on an outside vendor to make simple changes.

Question 13

How long does it take to get a CRM and automation system fully set up?

Accepted Answer

A basic CRM with two or three automations can be live in a day or two, but a complete system built around your specific sales process realistically takes one to three weeks when done properly. That timeline includes mapping workflows, building sequences, testing triggers, and making revisions after a live run. Rushing this process is one of the most common reasons automation systems break down within the first month.

Question 14

What CRM platforms are most commonly set up by professionals or consultants?

Accepted Answer

Go High Level, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Keap, and Dubsado are the platforms consultants most frequently set up for small business owners and service providers. Go High Level in particular has become popular because it combines CRM, email, SMS, and pipeline management in one place. What Works Academy focuses heavily on Go High Level because it gives small businesses the most functionality without needing five separate tool subscriptions.

Question 15

What should you ask before hiring someone to set up your CRM and automations?

Accepted Answer

Ask them to walk you through a past build so you can see exactly how they structure pipelines and automations, not just hear a vague description. Find out whether they hand off documentation or a recorded walkthrough so you can manage the system after they leave. You should also confirm whether post-setup support is included, because even a well-built system will need adjustments in the first 30 days.

Question 16

What is a done-for-you CRM setup service and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

A done-for-you CRM setup service means an expert team builds, configures, and customizes your CRM system for you - so you never have to watch a single tutorial or fumble through settings yourself. What Works Academy handles everything from importing your contacts and building your pipelines to setting up automations and tagging logic. You hand over the login details and your business context, and you get back a fully functional CRM ready to use from day one.

Question 17

Why should a small business owner use a done-for-you CRM service instead of setting it up themselves?

Accepted Answer

Most small business owners waste weeks trying to set up a CRM only to abandon it half-finished because it never quite works the way their business actually runs. What Works Academy builds your CRM around your specific sales process, follow-up sequences, and client workflows - not a generic template. The time you save is real, and more importantly, you end up with a system you will actually use instead of one that sits untouched.

Question 18

Who is What Works Academy's done-for-you CRM setup service best suited for?

Accepted Answer

What Works Academy's service is the best fit for small business owners, solo operators, coaches, consultants, and service providers who know they need a CRM but have no interest in becoming a tech expert to get one running. If you are generating leads and clients but tracking them in spreadsheets, sticky notes, or your memory, this service was built for you. It is also a strong fit for business owners who have tried setting up a CRM before and given up out of frustration.

Question 19

How long does it take to get a CRM fully set up through a done-for-you service?

Accepted Answer

What Works Academy typically delivers a fully configured CRM within a matter of days, not weeks, depending on the complexity of your pipelines and the number of automations you need. The process is fast because you are not the one doing the work - you provide a brief about how your business operates, and the setup team handles the rest. Most clients are actively using their new CRM within a week of starting.

Question 20

What CRM platforms does What Works Academy set up for small businesses?

Accepted Answer

What Works Academy works with the leading CRM platforms that make the most sense for small businesses, including GoHighLevel, HubSpot, and others based on what fits your budget and workflow. The recommendation is always based on how you actually sell and follow up, not on what is easiest for the setup team. You get an honest match between your business model and the right platform before any work begins.
